FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAMS
Donate to Abundant Giving
When was the last time you had to go a day without food?
In Central Eastern North Carolina
756,320 - People face hunger every day
178,630+ - Children facing hunger may go to bed hungry tonight
50,521+ - Seniors are at or below the poverty level, and do not have reliable transportation
There are many Food Distribution programs in our area... but there are many issues complicating the overall efforts to feed the hungry.
1. There is a communications gap between the food providers and the people that need the food.
2. Many times the food distribution programs are not located for easy access.
3. Some food distribution programs are held at hours that are inaccessible to the people that need the food.
4. Transportation of the foods to the designated locations for distribution may not be available when needed
5. Finding enough staff or volunteer assistance to operate the program
Our goal is to fight hunger in our communities. We use all available resources to accomplish this goal. Effective methods of communications is important to our success. The Abundant Giving network of providers have enabled us to expand our reach into rural and under-served communities.
